| Today is the highlight of Christmas At The End OF The Road. COVID 19 has changed things up a bit, but the annual fireworks in Winthrop is on. The Fireworks and associated activities will begin this November 28th, 2020 at 6:00pm and go on through 9:00pm. To view the display in person, staying in the car is encouraged. The viewing is suggested from the Winthrop Barn, Riverside Ave, or online through the town of Winthrop, WA Facebook page. |
Darin Hilderbrand performs live tonight free at the Old School House Brew Pub in Winthrop Washington this January 2019. Darin used to be the front man for the Seattle Metal Band Kidd Robin. Now he plays solo with moving soul infused classic rock and blues. Time is 6pm to 9pm in Winthrop Washington, Friday January 18th Martin Luther King holiday weekend. Cost is FREE Yay. Now popular Christmass At The End Of The Road did not always start out this way. I remember about 25 years ago taking the kids to this new event and putting their names in for all the raffles generously offered by the local shop owners. We also noted we were pretty much the only attendees. In short order we received call after call, " congratulations you won the raffle" alerting us about how the kids had won this amazing prize and that amazing gift. Here is Cirque Zuma Zuma, hosted by Methow Valley Arts Alliance in Brewster Washington and coming to Methow Valley very soon. Cirque Zuma Zuma is the African version of Cirque Du Soleil. This talented group of acrobats will perform Saturday October 20, at 7pm at the Winthrop Red Barn with tickets on sale and predicted to sell out.
