    Methow Valley is packed with fun after skiing events starting on Friday February 16, 2018 with live music at the Old School House Brew Pub with sultry Kurt Lindsay from 6pm to 9pm and the cost, FREE.  Tomorrow night Winthrop Washington will host Box of Tonic at the Copper Glance for a fun weekend of skiing,  and movies  too. Now playing at Barnyard Cinema Molly's Game, and The Post with prices: Adults $12 and Children $10.  Just a snippet of the fun events offered all weekend in Winthrop, Mazama, and Twisp, Washington.  Numerous Artist receptions and free refreshments and a whole lot of skiing of course. All runs are open at both Loup Loup and Methow Sports Trail Association.

    The Hirst Decision of October 2016 brought sweeping changes across the State  of Washington impacting the process one works through to garner a building permit.  In our County of Okanogan the process entailed getting a certification of water availability for any vacant land with no current documented water right, and or a water usage already associated with the subject property. Each vacant land property is unique and the Okanogan Planning Office was left with the burden to figure who did and did not need to get a water certifcation, and if so go through the certification process which could take from three months to five months to make a determination. ...
