As new construction is showing signs of growth countrywide, the west is actually seeing decreases in new housing starts. In the Methow Valley inventory is starting to increase with many new listings on the market. Soaring material costs and labor shortages do present challenges which will increase demand for homes already built in Twisp, Winthrop, WA, and Mazama. It’s a great time for sellers to list with the North Cascades Highway 20 opening soon. New homes on the market will provide more options for patient buyers. The long term outlook is very positive. New inventory is arriving on the Methow Valley real estate market while the sellers market remains strong.
